SCCM client is configured in "currently Internet mode"
Hi @all,
SCCM 2007 R2 in mixed mode. We currently have about 600 clients which are SCCM clients with Intranet only mode, but two of the SCCM clients (Exchange Server 2010 mailbox servers) are configured in "currently Internet mode" and I doesn't have a plan how to
change this. All other SCCM clients are working fine. Has anybody an idea who to change this SCCM clients to Intranet mode? All SCCM clients where installed through SCCM client push installation.

If it's configured for Internet mode and you are running in mixed mode, then have a look at the clientlocation.log and locationsservices.log. For some reason the client can't find the Management Point.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Hi Kent,
you're the greatest :-). The SCCM Server was not configured as a WINS client. I configured the SCCM Server as a WINS client and sometimes shorter the two problematic machines are now registered in the SCCM settings for "Intranet only". I have no explanation
why only this two clients was not configured correctly because about (now) 700 other SCCM clients are working correctly!regards Marc Grote aka Jens Baier - www.it-training-grote.de - www.forefront-tmg.de - www.nt-faq.de
